Powder Paint Line Worker

Full Job Description
The Line Worker on the Powder Line is responsible for reading work orders, staging product prior to hanging, hanging product on a moving paint line, masking parts, and hand washing or performing prep work to parts prior to them being painted.
Physical Demands
This position is considered to be medium work. It may require the person in this position to exert up to 60lbs. of force occasionally, 20lbs frequently, and 10lbs. constantly. This person should know and understand proper lifting techniques. It will require repetitive use of the upper extremities. This is a position that calls for standing and walking most of the shift. This person will be required to grasp and handle parts that need to be placed on a moving line. This may require this person to work at a rapid pace. Visual acuity and excellent depth perception are necessary for performing critical functions of this position.
Motor dexterity and coordination is critical in this position. This person must be able to coordinate eye and hand/finger movements in placing product on a moving line. This person will be required to recall different set ups for certain product lines in order to ensure a smooth production process. This person must have the ability to perform multiple, various functions at one time. They will be working around hanging parts on a moving conveyor line.
Personal Physiological Demands
This person may be required to work occasional overtime depending on the volume of product that needs to be painted. Must be able to work in a cooperative manner, as part of a team.
Education and Training
· Must be able to read and communicate effectively through oral and written channels.
· Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties as verified by a licensed physician.
· Must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
Excellent attendance required.

Ad-tech Industries, located in Watertown, WI is hiring for a Full-time, 1st Shift E-Coat Line Worker.
Job Duties:
-read and follow work instructions.
-document required information on Work Process Orders.
-process Line Procedure Forms, and Part Identification Tags and Packing Lists.
-responsible for arranging product that is hanging on racking fixtures, prior to being E-Coated.
-mask parts or plug holes prior to E-Coating, un-rack parts, un-mask parts, inspect, and package parts after E-Coating, and prior to shipping.
This job requires bending and lifting heavy parts. Must be able to lift a 50+ pounds.
Hours: 5:30a-1:30p, Monday-Friday, possible Saturdays
Excellent attendance is a must!

Powder Painter/Painter Trainee

Full Job Description
The painter on the powder line is considered a finish painter. They are responsible for painting parts that are hanging on a moving line with a powder paint gun.
Physical Demands
This position is considered to be medium work. This person will be exerting up to 55lbs. of force occasionally, 20lbs. of force frequently, and 10lbs. of force constantly. This person may be exposed to temperature changes, especially in the warm weather. There will be constant use of a sprayer that weighs from 1 -3 lbs. Constant upper extremity movements are used in order to paint all areas of the part. Bending, stooping, and kneeling are required to paint awkward parts. This position requires the person to stand for the majority of the shift. There will be constant grasping or applying pressure to a paint gun trigger. They must have excellent attention to detail. They must also have good hand/eye coordination.
Education and Training
· Must be able to read and communicate effectively through oral and written channels.
· Must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent.
· Experience is preferred, but not necessary. On the job training is available to the right candidate.
Pay is based on experience
Hours are Monday-Friday 5:30am to 2:30pm
Excellent attendance is a must!

Cindy started working here out of high school, in the shop. She was a painter at one point, she’s done clerical jobs, went to college when she worked here, and worked herself where she is today—37 years later!
What are the main qualifications you look for in candidates, and do these differ based on position?
The most important qualifications for any position are attendance, reliability, and punctuality. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for a majority of the positions. You must be able to read through paperwork and complete some math in certain positions.
