The silk screening process has been around for a long time and has evolved from simple stenciling to a complete mechanized printing method. It has been used for more than 100 years in commercial applications.

Silk screening is a process in which a non-porous surface has artwork burned into the surface to create a porous surface. This allows an ink to be forced through the porous surface with a squeegee onto the part surface.
